The short version: MakerCue is built for creators, not advertisers. We don't sell your data. We don't show you ads. Your scripts, videos, and ideas stay yours. We only collect what we need to make the app work.

1. Who We Are

MakerCue is a product of True Anchor LLC, based in Michigan. We build tools for content creators. If you have questions about this policy, reach us at connect@makercue.app.

2. What We Collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. We use this only to identify your account and personalize your experience.

Content you create. Scripts, ideas, notes, and calendar events are stored locally on your device and optionally synced to our Firestore database (Firebase, a Google service) when you're signed in. This sync allows your content to follow you across devices.

Video recordings. Videos recorded in the Film screen are processed entirely on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers. When you save a video, it goes to your device's camera roll or local browser storage (IndexedDB). We never see your recordings.

Usage data. We do not use third-party analytics trackers. We may log basic server-side errors to help us fix bugs.

3. How We Use It
  • To sync your scripts and calendar across devices when you're signed in
  • To display your name in the app greeting
  • To save your preferences (layout, filters, tag groups) locally on your device
  • To improve the app based on error reports

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties — ever.

4. Data Storage

Local storage. Most of your data (scripts, ideas, preferences) lives in your browser's localStorage and IndexedDB. Clearing your browser data will remove it.

Cloud sync. When signed in, scripts are synced to Google Firebase Firestore. Firebase is operated by Google and subject to Google's privacy policy.

Videos. Recorded videos are never transmitted off your device by MakerCue. They exist only in your browser's IndexedDB (temporary) or your device's camera roll (when saved).

5. Third-Party Services

MakerCue uses the following third-party services:

We do not embed Facebook pixels, Google Analytics, or any advertising SDKs.

6. Your Rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by signing out and clearing your browser storage, or by emailing us at connect@makercue.app and we will remove your Firestore data within 30 days.

If you are in the EU or UK, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to access, correct, and export your data. Contact us at connect@makercue.app to exercise these rights.

7. Children's Privacy

MakerCue is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We'll note the effective date at the top. Significant changes will be communicated via the app or email if we have your contact information.
